The tenth picture is very successful, I think there's a very nice balance between the darks, lights, and mid tones throughout the image. The fourth picture, I believe, could use a little more of white to help draw the eye across the image better.
The third picture directs my eye with the continuous swoop of the dancers' legs. It reminds me of the Ben Shahn photos that Sergio introduced to us in lecture, where the common directionality of figures' gazes can unify an otherwise disjointed image. Because you captured both the musicians and the dancers facing rightward, it feels natural to want to follow their lead.
The picture with the dancers flows well, they are all carrying their momentum in the same direction yet at different intervals. This captures the fact that it is kids dancing which gives it a more easy-going mood. The perspective of the chopsticks on the dining table adds depth and a receding quality to the photo, and overall the photo turned out very well composed. I like the expression of the girl in the 9th photo, it makes me question if she did not want her photo taken, she seems stunned and slightly annoyed, it's difficult to capture emotions like this in photos. It's clear this was the intent of the picture, to add rigid emotion and the sunglasses only add to the suspiciousness of the photo. Even if she is a friend, it was well done both on her part and yours.
I think your event pictures are interesting, they express the movement well, especially when the figures are cropped slightly in the forth.
