You are a phenomenal night photographer. I think the shaded aesthetic especially lends itself to the sketchier, more desolate image of the ATM. By showcasing the ATM's glow, you also make me reflect on the potential dangers lurking in the shadows. What can't I see? Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" comes to mind. Just that idea of light as warm, comforting, and safe, but also light making you visible and vulnerable.
I really enjoy the range of values that you have in your photos. It's seems true indeed that night is your time to shine. I agree that there is a hopeful quality to the light you captured as the viewer is always at a bit of a distance from it. It makes you want to go to the light and be off of the mean streets of downtown Gainesville. It's also kind of interesting how you're using lines, they lead the eye around the picture.
I can see a possible theme emerging here! Your night time photos are mesmerizing, there is something so interesting about the way you capture artificial light. The third photo is my favorite, the way your eye is drawn in to the focal point of bright head lights in photo.
