Sofia Ouhri Week 9 Ten Best (+1)

  1. In photograph number nine, the dichotomy between the man and the rod iron ornaments is really interesting. It was very clever placing the iron rod inside the contour of the man's body. It seems it could have separate meanings; either one that comments on the hand made, or another that comments on man as machine. Either way, this photo is exposed really well and the composition seems to be well thought out.

  2. The sixth and ninth photos stand out to me. The repetition of the cartoonish looking bug on the mural, the girls shirt, and on the little girl's face is a really interesting perspective. The iron decoration that mirrors the guy standing in the background is a unique way of framing an inanimate object. You have the ability to make everyday objects and gimmicky things come to life in a humorous way that work well with your sets of photos that capture various events.

  3. These photos have a lot of character in them and they have a small town aspect of quirkiness. I like the 5th, 6th, and 7th photos the most. They seem to have a decisive moment aspect that captured the vibe and persona of the person (or dog) in the moment. I enjoy your photos formally as well theyre all very clear and balanced as far as contrast and composition

  4. This week of photos definitely gives me your your theme. You definitely managed to capture these weird gimmicky things and make them into nicely composed photos. Your sixth and ninth are my favorite pictures. I like the pose and interesting activity of the sixth and the ninth is really well thought out and composed and I really appreciate that. Oh I also like the one with the real palm tree and the painted ones on the building, you really know how compose.

  5. I think your photographs have a great tonal range and are technically very well executed. All of your photos definitely capture a more quirky, small town, side of Florida and I think they work together really well. The 6th image is my favorite, I loved how the little girl is framed and it captures such an interesting moment.
