Sarah Marquez 10 Best Week 8

  1. Photograph five is a tremendous use of the blur. Not only do the thready, neon-light-esque strands add a dynamism and otherwise invisible document of motion, but they also unify the image in another way. They exhibit a sort of fluid wave form - a form that directly matches the curls of the girl's hair. My next favorite images operate as a pair: the photo of the girl from photo 2 and the dog in photo six. Their matching expressions (the "o" shaped mouths and general energy-levels) are so uncannily similar that it is difficult not to compare them to one another. The humor and almost unease of the situation is intriguing.
