I find that the all these images pay a particular attention to detail. This creates a heightened interest in the photographs and asks the viewer to deeply engaged with each one. There is a magnification of the finer qualities in ordinary objects which I think is an interesting approach you take in photographing your subjects. The exposure and softness in each photograph is particularly beautiful.
Your close up shots are excellent. Really visually interesting photos with a nice range of values. However, viewing these through the lens of your theme, I would say your forth, fifth, ninth, and tenth are the most fitting. Have you ever thought of even chalking your name or a little doodle on things to make it yours? It could possibly work....Anyways, great job this week.
The first photo really caught my eye, it's really beautiful. This particular image pairs well with photo of the bike gear. It can be difficult to capture expression and emotion, and the attention to detail in this photo is evident. From the reflection cast in the little girl's eyes, to the glimpse of sunlight. This photo also portrays a sense of guardedness and being lost in thought due to the little girls expression.
I think there was a clear contrast of subjects for you this week, mechanical versus natural and organic. The photos also have nice contrast of shades within the shot. i enjoy the gears and the clarity that is seen there with all of he details. the one with the face feels like the focus could be a little bigger than just around the very center, so the clarity is seen on the whole face.
I love how strong and clear your images are- there is obviously great technical skill. The 7th and 8th are my favorites. The water droplets in the 7th appear so crisp and the sense of texture dis incredible. I love how surreal and almost meditative the 8th image is. I can't tell what its an image of and I love that about it.
