Courtney Grigsby- week 8 10 best

  1. Perhaps it's the sheer number of reflective surfaces, but photo 2 is particularly enticing to me. The eye is drawn smoothly leftward by the leading lines of not only the tile floor, but also bakery case. Additionally, the tonal range you achieved is remarkable. it enabled you to capture details that really speak to the history of the location and help to shape my sense of the space and its charm.

  2. Your 5th and 8th pictures are my favorites. The way you photographed the statue makes it have a very animate quality which is really interesting. Both of these have the old Florida feel to me. They are contrasted without sacrificing too many details or interesting tonal variations. The only photo I don't get as much is the ninth, it's too hard to tell that these are kayaks which distracts the viewer from what I think you're trying to achieve.

  3. I really love the high contrast in some of your images- especially the 1st, 7th and 8th. The contrast makes the images very striking. I would just be careful not to over-expose since some of your images seem a little too bright and the background is lost.
