Brianna Ostrowski - 10 best

  1. The composition of your photographs overall are very successful. How you chose to frame them I think was very nice, especially in the 6th picture--there's a frame within a frame. I really like the tonal contrast of the 8th photo, it really brings out the bottles. However, I feel like the focus could have been much sharper. And be careful in pictures like number 2 because I don't know if its just me, but it doesn't look like you have too many "real blacks"--it just looks like very very dark grays. I've noticed that when this happens sometimes the picture can lose depth. As a whole I really love the photographs and the feeling of isolation some of them carry, like 3, 4, and 9.

  2. These images are different from your previous pictures. None of these have people in it or some living creature like you normally do, yet these compositions are done very well. A lot of your pictures are taken straight ahead or even the center of the photo and it works really well. It looks very structure and some kind of balance.

  3. This weeks set of photos have a lot more whites in them, which is a departure from your usual pictures but it really seems to work for these images. The image of the tools on the chicken wire is really nice since it's backlit but you didn't lose detail. I have trouble with that so teach me how to do it
