Your photographs truly engage the viewer in the sense that they briefly disguise humor on a level just below their surface. It does not take long for the slightly obvious joke to evoke light laughter and a smile. They are clever and sincere. In this series, the composition in images 7 & 8 is phenomenal. Its simplicity at its finest.
I really enjoyed image 9, both people were perfectly aligned with the two cannons, so there is a mirrored quality between the duplicates of the two cannons and two people. The photograph was definitely executed with precision and demonstrates the decisive moment concept. I also liked photos 1 and 12. In photo 1 the people were framed nicely around the archway, and it puts a stronger focus on their interactions. In photo 12, all the leading lines on the shuttle, playground, and the building give the viewer lots of things to look at and analyze.
I find these photographs to posses light uncannily humor, and I especially enjoy its presence in photos number 3, 11 and 12. The presence of the hearse should be a solemn yet in this situation it is alongside a tourist vehicle it contrasts its very effect. It idle position is the center of focus yet the hearse's active surroundings eerily supports notions that the world truly still moves forward despite the woes of any person's life (or lack of). The shuttle in the last photograph is very unexpected, as if the level of fun did not reach elevated heights before it presence. The staircase to the left of it allows the children to "board" the shuttle for their own entertainment and thrilling purposes.
