Diana Guzmán - 10 Best

  1. I'm really intrigued by the ambiguity of these images. Photo 2 in particular stands out as being almost unidentifiable. It has the venation of a leaf, but my brain is also registering it as a fish fin. I like that I'm unsure;that I have to investigate and scrutinize. Your focus and exposures are all exceedingly well done, which allows the subtle, organic textures of the subject matter to really be the star.

  2. I admire the play in photo number 6 with faux eggs. The Easter eggs attempt to mimic actually eggs, although in this instance someone other than a hen placed them there. Even the careful detail to the hay along with the eggs to create this artificial scene eludes to repurposing or rather reinterpret ideas associated with eggs, creation, etc. The hole and cracks also contribute to a sense of vacancy within the image. Overall, your images are successful in exposures and tonal ranges.
