  1. The fourth photograph in this series is powerful. The twisting and turning of the tree's roots leads the viewers eye throughout the entire photo. In this photograph there is a nice range of lights, mid tones, and darker contrasts. There is a nice sense of depth from the leading branch on the right, which pulls your eye to the back of the photo.

  2. The eighth photograph is my favorite. There is a sense of despair that I feel from it because it is as if someone ripped out the pump (or whatever it is) in a moment of frustration or anger, leaving it hanging by the hinges of merely a few frayed cables. I really like the distinct contrast between the dirt it is laying on and the rest of the negative space; it gives it emotion and a sense of old and unsettled issues.

  3. The first photo is my favorite, I like the contrast between the brighter white tubes and the dark black lids. I think this photo had the best tonal range and one of the most successful compositions.

  4. The tree one is nice since the composition fills the frame and is very dynamic. There is a wide range of tones and shapes that really moves the eye around

  5. The sixth photograph instills a sense of curiosity as to what lies beyond the barred door. The door prevents one from going any further as to suggest that there is something unsettling and dangerous on the other side.
